This blog began as a visual journal--a way for me to organize my daily and anecdotal visual impressions. Since art is a big part of what I do, the art sections of the blog have grown. In featured posts called "Living the Creative Life", I've visited artists studios and given my readers an inside look at how artists work and think.
Additionally I've written about the experience of jurying, street art, coffee art, museum visits and other art related subjects. In thinking about "posting" things on the blog I find I'm writing image based narratives--not very different from what I do in painting. The writing and maintaining of the blog is something I enjoy, and a place to try out some ideas.

This blog is based entirely on drawing and the title comes from a comment by German artist Paul Klee. In this blog I trade drawings with my architect brother in Washington, D.C. usually subject related, sort of a "conversation" in drawings. We began this blog after finding the blog started by Urbansketchers.
